Men's Championship Fours
Club Fours or Full Rinks was played as far back as the 1930s, but was an irregular competition as at each A.G.M. it was decided what championships would be played the following year. A debate raged in 1939 when there was a move to play Percentage (graded) Fours. The move was lost, but grading of bowlers was introduced that year. Fours became a regular competition in 1975 with the introduction of the Northland Bowling Centre’s Champion of Champion event.
